Is the photo uploaded to a server?

No. The background is removed by a model that is downloaded once from our server and then runs right in your browser. The photo never leaves your device – which matters most with photos of people.

How accurate is the background removal?

On computers we use the precise BiRefNet model, which handles hair, fur and objects. On phones, the faster ISNet, which needs less memory. Anything the model misses or leaves behind you can fix with the Keep and Erase brushes.

Is it really free and without a watermark?

Yes. You download the result in full resolution, without a watermark or sign-up, even for many photos at once.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Images are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in our privacy policy.
