Frequently asked questions
How does automatic straightening work?
It finds the strongest nearly horizontal or vertical line – the horizon, a table edge, the side of a building – and rotates the photo so it is level. You can then fine-tune the angle with the slider.
Why is the photo cropped a little when straightened?
A rotated photo would have empty corners. The editor enlarges it slightly so it fills the whole rectangle – the bigger the angle, the more is cropped.
Can I fix the perspective too?
Yes, the Fix perspective button next to the slider squares up a document shot at an angle or the converging walls of a building.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Images are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in our privacy policy.
