Frequently asked questions
What can a photo reveal about me?
Phone photos usually carry the exact GPS location, date and time, the phone model and a thumbnail. Anyone who gets the photo can easily read them.
Will the photo’s quality change?
No. For JPG, PNG and WebP only the metadata is removed; the image data stays byte for byte the same.
Which photos contain a location?
Photos with a location get a Location label as soon as you add them. After processing, they show No location.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Images are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in our privacy policy.
